Abstract

Abstract


The solar-powered turbine aerator relied on the design with CFD to select the suitable rotor size for the motor power and 600 watts of solar power. The diameter of the propeller was 160 mm, submerged about 0.6 m, assembled with a hollow shaft and directly connected with a brushless DC motor of 500 watts and 1,000 rpm. The solar-powered aerator can reach a maximum speed of 850 rpm with an airflow rate of 5 m3 / hr. and power of 486-518 watts.
