Thank you for contributing to Journal of Research and Applications in Mechanical Engineering. JRAME is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing high-quality, original research. Please read the instructions carefully and observe all the directions given. Failure to do so may result in unnecessary delays in publishing your article.

General Guidelines

  • You must submit a digital copy of your manuscript. Hard copy submissions are not accepted.
  • JRAME accepts the following types of articles: Research Article and Review Article
  • Authors must format the manuscript in accordance with the journal format.                              Journal template can be downloaded from

    https://ph01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jrame/article/view/132662/99570

  • The manuscript should include the following components: the title, author information, abstract and keywords, the main text with appropriate subsections, back matter, and references. Figures and tables must be of high quality and should be placed after their first mention in the text.
  • Manuscripts must be written in American English.
  • Système International (SI) units must be used throughout the manuscript.
  • Abbreviations should be kept to a minimum and must be defined the first time they appear in the text.
  • Manuscripts must be saved as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) files before submission. Manuscripts and related enquiries should be submitted via: https://ph01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/jrame/about/submissions
  • Additional material that is not essential but supports the content of the manuscript may be submitted as Supplementary Material. Such materials must be deposited online by the authors, and only the URL of the supplementary material will be published with the manuscript.

Manuscript Format

Manuscript Title and Author Information

  • A clear and concise manuscript title, along with the full names of all authors, their affiliations, and the e-mail address of the corresponding author, must be provided on the first page of the manuscript.
  • This journal follows a double-blind peer-review process. Information identifying the authors will be removed before the manuscript is sent to reviewers.

Abstract and Keywords

  • The abstract should briefly summarize the content of the article and its main conclusions. It must be written as a single-paragraph, unstructured abstract. The abstract should include the background or introduction of the study, the methods employed, key results, and the main conclusions of the research.
  • The abstract should be able to stand alone, as it is often presented separately from the full article.
  • References and non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided in the abstract.
  • Authors are required to provide 4 to 6 keywords for indexing purposes. The selected keywords should reflect the core content of the manuscript and represent terms that readers are likely to use when searching for related research.

Main Document

  • The hierarchical structure of headings must be clearly indicated using numbered sections and subsections (e.g., 3, 3.1, and 3.1.1). Authors are advised to limit the heading hierarchy to no more than three levels.
  • Do not insert manual page breaks or section breaks in the manuscript.
  • Use hard returns (press the Enter key) only at the end of a paragraph, not at the end of a line. Allow lines to wrap automatically using the word-processing software.
  • Use only one space after a period.
  • Tables should be created using the Table function in Microsoft Word.
  • Below the article title, the authors’ names, affiliations, and the address for manuscript correspondence should be provided, including the corresponding author’s e-mail address, telephone number, and fax number. A numbered superscript should be used after each author’s name to indicate the appropriate institutional affiliation. The corresponding author must be identified by an asterisk (*) symbol. The corresponding author’s telephone number, fax number, and e-mail address should be listed as the final item in the title block. The title block should be followed by a single-paragraph abstract that summarizes the main findings of the manuscript.
  • The manuscript page size must be set to a custom dimension of 19 cm × 26 cm. The text should be prepared in a single-column format with single line spacing and the following margins.

                Top margin                           1.7 cm

                Bottom margin                     1.5 cm

                Left margin                           1.3 cm

                Right margin                        1.3 cm

  • The main body of the manuscript should begin immediately after the keywords. Experimental procedures, data, and computational methods must be described in sufficient detail to enable other researchers to replicate the study.
  • The main body of the manuscript may be organized into sections and, where appropriate, subsections and sub-subsections. The main text typically includes the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions, or other sections and subsections that are appropriate for the specific discipline.
  • Manuscripts reporting data from studies involving human or animal participants must have received formal review and approval, or review with a waiver (exemption), from an appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or ethics committee. The Methods section should state the full name of the reviewing body.
  • All figures and tables should be placed after their first mention in the text. Figure captions should be positioned below the figures and centered within the column, while table titles should be placed above the tables and aligned flush left. If a figure contains two or more panels, labels such as “(a)”, “(b)”, and so on should be included as part of the artwork. Authors should ensure that all figures and tables cited in the text are included in the manuscript. When referring to figures in the text, use the format “Fig. 1” or “Figs. 1–3.” Tables should be cited as “Table 1,” and the word “Table” should not be abbreviated. Figures must be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals. All lettering in figures should be of professional quality and clearly legible, either produced using high-resolution computer graphics or prepared to a comparable standard.
  • Equations should be aligned to the left and numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript. Equation numbers must be given in Arabic numerals enclosed in parentheses and placed flush with the right-hand margin. In the text, equations should be cited as “Eq. (1)” or “Eqs. (1)–(3)”. All symbols appearing in the equations must be clearly defined either before the equation is presented or immediately after it. The font style and size of all symbols should be consistent throughout the manuscript.

Additional Statements

After the main text (Conclusions), authors may include additional information in separate subsections, where applicable.

  • Nomenclature: For manuscripts containing numerous variables and parameters, a list of symbols with their definitions may be provided in this subsection.
  • Funding Information: Provide details of the financial support received for conducting the research.
  • Author Contributions: Provide a brief description of the specific contributions made by each author to the research and manuscript preparation.
  • Acknowledgements: Acknowledge individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to the work but do not meet the criteria for authorship.
  • Conflict of Interest Declaration: Authors must provide a formal statement at the time of submission disclosing any potential conflicts of interest that could inappropriately influence, or be perceived to influence, the judgment of the authors in conducting or reporting the research.

Common Examples and Templates

No Conflict:

“The authors declare that they have no known competing financial interests or personal relationships that could have appeared to influence the work reported in this paper.”

With Conflict:

“[Author Name] has received research funding from [Organization]. [Author Name] serves as a consultant for [Company] and owns stock in [Company].”

Employment:

“The author is an employee of [Organization].”

Reference

References must follow the Vancouver citation style and should be presented in English only. All relevant works cited in the manuscript must be listed in the reference section at the end of the paper in the order in which they appear in the text. In-text citations should be indicated by Arabic numerals enclosed in square brackets, for example: [1], [1, 2], or [1–3]. The reference list should be formatted using the same typeface as the main body of the manuscript. Examples of references for journal articles, conference proceedings, technical reports, books, and web-based sources are provided below.

Suggesting Potential Reviewers

Authors are required to suggest at least three potential reviewers for their submitted manuscript. No more than one suggested reviewer may be from the same country as the authors. The proposed reviewers must not have any personal, professional, or institutional relationship with any of the authors that could constitute a conflict of interest. The list of suggested reviewers may be submitted as a separate file. Suggest Potential Reviewers file

Submission Policy and Peer Review

Manuscripts are accepted for review on the understanding that the work has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submission of the manuscript must be approved by all authors and by the institution where the research was conducted. Any individual cited as a source of personal communication must provide approval for such citation. All manuscripts submitted to JRAME undergo a peer-review process using a double-blind review system.
