Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve the productivity of No.CNN1170-004000 air conditioning pipe's production line. From the case study, the researcher found out that the bending process and punch hole process was the bottom neck that causes no smooth operation of the production line. Cause and effect diagram and 5W1H method had been used as an analysis tool to find the root cause of the problem which is repetitive of the workflow. The ECRS method, flow operation chart and man-machine diagram had been used as a productivity improvement tool. The result shows that the standard time is reduced by 13.34% working distance reduced by 32.07% and productivity of the bottom neck process increase by 12.14%
