Design and Development of Semi - Automatic Sand Sifter Machine
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aims to design and develop the system to find the efficiency of semi - automatic sand sifter machine consists of a structure with height of 100 cm, width of 70 cm and length of the machine 120 cm. The system is controlled by a microcontroller using 1 horsepower motor as a power source and using the driver pulley 1.5 inch, tail pulley 9 inch form the vibration of the sieve to cull the size of the sand, sieve has hole 3 sizes include the No. 4 the hole size 4.75 mm, No. 10 the hole size 2.03 mm and No. 50 the hole size 0.356 mm, respectively. The research found that semi-automatic sand sifter machine can be sizing sand in 3 sizes as No. 4, 10 and 50, spend time in 2.6 min working and the quantity of sand was 2.67, 51.33 and 45.67 kg, respectively. The efficiently in sift the sand to 98.76 percent at an oblique angle 10 degrees and compare the performance of semi-automatic sand sifter machine with the workers in of 3, 6 and 9 minutes. The amount of sand that sifted sand semi-automatic sand machine with manual labor were 8.47, 16.94, 25.41 and 44.78, 89.56, 134.34 kilograms, respectively. The break - even analysis and evaluation of economics payback period were 1.25 months.
