Abstract

This research sought to examine and evaluate packaging that conforms to the principles of hygienic packaging design currently available in the market, utilizing the findings to create a prototype packaging for Thai desserts that adheres to the hygienic packaging design concept for the Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep brand. The research technique entailed the examination and analysis of 30 packaging designs currently available in the market. The findings were utilized to create three sanitary packaging options. Experts assessed these based on design elements, and the evaluation outcomes were utilized to enhance the package prototype that met the highest criteria. Upon completion of the revisions, the prototypes were assessed for satisfaction levels among a sample group utilizing a five-point rating system. The findings were examined and condensed. The examination of market product data indicates a preference for PP plastic (5) as the packaging material. Details of packaging design encompass: Sealing of packaging: Plastic sealing helps avert contamination and obstruct air, moisture, and microbial infiltration. Indicators of package opening, discernible by evidence of tugging or tearing of the inner plastic seal, were utilized. The second prototype garnered the highest overall assessment from specialists, with the evaluation criteria being: Evaluate satisfaction with the chosen packing prototype. In general, it is at an elevated level.
