Nowadays, there are five non-communicable diseases (NCD), including hypertension, heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes mellitus (DM). DM is one of the major illnesses that are frequently in elderlies, and the incidence rate is significantly increasing. According to the problem, our research group aimed to develop a DM health care application on the Android system. This application can provide DM patients to record blood sugar levels and blood pressure. The blood sugar levels are presented with the 7-color-ball tool and show daily or monthly blood sugar levels as well as patient health care guidelines. These data can be shared with a doctor to use for the follow-up treatment, diagnosis, treatment regimen, or personal suggestion. The satisfaction survey results from 3 user groups, including DM-elderly patient, Expert, and General user, showed a very satisfying to this application because of the practice using and developing a big data of diabetes patients to help doctors perform a diagnosis in the future.
