Deep Drawing Analysis for SPCE Cold-Rolled Carbon Steel
Main Article Content
Abstract
This purposed of this research is to study the deep drawing process of the oil filter cap that has the different die radius by using the Finite Element Method to increase the ability of the process. The oil filter, 138.4 mm diameter 148.5 mm height, was made from 0.8 mm thick SPCE cold-rolled carbon steel, which often have a lot of cracking work problem. The experiment to confirm the result of this simulation have 95% confidence level also, the data and operation planning were analyzed by using quality control and the Kaizen technique in order to increase the ability of the highest production. The result shows that the test results were consistent with the experimental results. The test of the deep drawing process using 8 mm and 12 mm of die radius has the uniformly thickness, but the use of 8 mm of die radius makes the specimen thinner. The 12 mm die radius can be easily molded and the flow of the specimen that help to reduce the problem of crack. In addition, the data analysis and operation’s planning using quality control and the Kaizen technique found that the cracking of the specimen problem is caused by the solution of working and the problem of the machine such as non-standard measurement system and the wearing down of internal machine parts.
