Abstract

This research aimed to develop the program of finite element method for study the computational fluid dynamic with viscous incompressible thermal flows in steady state in order to study the air flow behaviors in any patterns of solar chimney technology and find out the appropriate chimney pattern which be used in real world scenario. The result of chimney height and radius of energy storage ratio which effect solar chimney technology efficiency were studied. There were 3 patterns of radius of energy storage and chimney height ratio including 1:1, 1.2:1 and, 1:1.2. The flow properties of air in this study were average value of speed, temperature and pressure of air in the system. The analysis result showed that average air speed and pressure in model 3 is higher than other models and suitable for construction of the real solar chimney.
