ปัญหาสุขภาพ และพฤติกรรมการป้องกันอันตรายจากการใช้สารเคมี ของพนักงานในร้านเสริมสวย ในเขตเทศบาลตำบลบ้านดู่ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดเชียงราย

Abstract
This cross-sectional study aimed at assessing preventive behaviors on chemical hazards of the employees in the beauty salon and to monitor health problems caused by the use of chemicals from working among employees in beauty salons in Ban Du Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province.
Participants included 105 beauty salon employees. The research questionnaire was developed by the researcher and it was approved by 3 experts (IOC = 1.00). Also, the reliability of the questionnaire on preventive behaviors from chemical hazard and the consequence of health problems caused by the usage of chemicals from working were determined by Cronbach's alpha coefficient with value at 0.74. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The findings revealed that the most of employees in the beauty salon (80%) had high level of preventive behaviors on chemical hazards. Moreover, 33.33% of them had health problems caused by the use of chemicals from working in the beauty salon. The most common problem was skin problems with 29.49% and followed by respiratory problems with 28.29%. Research suggests that public health agencies should pay attention to the health problems among the staff in the beauty salon who are considered as the informal labors by providing them an annual physical examination in order to monitor their negative health consequences from working. Also, provide them the knowledge and personal protective equipment for preventing the chemical hazards from working.
