The purpose of this research was to study the effect of height and material of compound parabolic concentrator for solar hot water production. The study compares 3 types of materials which are Aluminum, Galvanized, and Stainless sheet. By designing the high of the solar reflector (Compound Parabolic Concentrator (CPC)) to have 3 different heights as follows: 8.68 (higher than evacuated tubes), 5.68 (same level as evacuated tubes), and 2.84 cm (lower than evacuated tubes). The study indicated that the Galvanized sheets with a reflector height of 2.84 cm will be most suitable because it was the lowest cost per thermal energy of 1.28 Baht/Wth. The solar collectors can produce the hot water temperature of 62.35 °C, the amount of heat rate is 50.04 Wth and the thermal system efficiency is 39.16%.
