This article presents the study of load shedding scheme using the rate of change of under frequency relay in the power system for studying of frequency respond and voltage after a disturbance occurs in the power system in both cases of small and large disturbance. The load shedding scheme is generated by random the percentage of conditional load shedding. The testing for studying various case studies is implemented on the electrical system of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA). The study shows that load shedding with different schemes affects different frequencies and voltages and takes different times to return to acceptable values. This study of this load shedding scheme will give an idea of the importance of load shedding scheme that affects the stability of the electrical system.
