Analysis the Factors that Effect of Cassava Powder of Feed Crusher by Using Response Surface Methodology (RSM)
The objective of this research is to analyze the factors that affect the amount of cassava powder by using Design of Experiment: Response Surface Methodology (RSM). The factors to consider are the humidity, the speed and the space of crusher wheel. The humidity is divided into 2 levels are 6.86% and 8.63%, the speed is divided into 3 levels are 500, 700 and 900 rpm and the space of crusher wheel are divided into 3 levels are 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7 mm. The analysis of this data using Minitab R.16.The results showed that the humidity, the speed and the space of crusher has significant (P < 0.05) and the best results of the most amount of feed powder was 57.71 % (of total weight), by using 6.86 % moisture content, 859.60 rpm and the space of crusher wheel were 0.31 mm condition. From this study cassava powder can be used to promote for animal feedstock.
