Esan Corporate Identity Graphic Design for Culture Industry
This research is a study of graphic design from Esan identity for cultural industry with 3 objectives as follows: 1) study and analyze the identity of Esan handcraft in order to apply the result to design, 2) create a graphic design from the identity of Esan handcraft and 3) apply the handcraft resulting from the graphic design from the identity of Esan handcraft to product design. The design conceptual framework is based on the graphic design principles according to Somsiri Arunothai’s design theory, namely, unity, balance and focus. This research is a qualitative research. On the research scopes, for the spatial scope, this is a study of Esan handcraft in Ubon Ratchathani, and for the content scope, it is a study of Esan handcraft. The research sample is Esan handcraft in Ubon Ratchathani. The researcher used the purposive sampling method in selecting Esan handcraft in Ubon Ratchathani and then created a questionnaire to be filled in by experts on Esan handcraft in order to select outstanding Esan handcraft in Ubon Ratchathani. For the summary of the research results, Esan gift tray (chianmaak) is the most outstanding Esan handcraft. After obtaining the summary, the researcher created a graphic design with inspiration from Esan gift tray (chianmaak) and developed it into a product, performing an experiment of developing a cultural product to correspond with the cultural industry.
