Factors Affected Hospital Adoption Behavior of Enterprise Resource Planning System
The purpose of the research study was to examine the factors that affected the adoption behavior of Enterprise Resource Planning in the hospital environment. The Enterprise Resource Planning of university hospitals in Bangkok were studied using In-depth Interview with 10 stakeholders. The result indicated that the following factors affected hospital adoption behavior of ERP in hospitals: (1) Top Management Support which would steadily accelerate the adoption of ERP in its organization, (2) Communications and Trainings which would establish the user's understanding of the system and the user's ability to adapt to the new change that he was encountering, (3) Users Involvement which would reduce the potential user resistance of the system, (4) Policy, Process and Monitor which would create the user's confidence on the system work process and (5) Selecting the System which would assist project manager in arranging the appropriate new system preparation and adjustment to best fit the existing work process. These factors affected the project manager's ability to develop the project work strategy and organize and plan for activities that work in accordance with ERP in hospital environment.
