Guideline for selecting outsourcing for Facilities Management for Cooperate Clients

Abstract

Thisstudyaimstopurposetheappropriatedguidelinetoselectthequalifiedservice providers for Facility Management (outsources). The research methods employed the interview processes with the decision makers towards a selection of outsources company. The case studies used in this study such as petro-chemical firm, financial institutions. The study started with the extensive literature review in the following issues: the services providers’ selection method, the relationship between the priority of works and scope of services, the establishment of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and the human resources preparation method in order to enhance the quality or services and reduce operational cost.
The results of this study could be applied for both of the services providers and the employers. In this regard, the employers shall have the collective information to make a decision toward outsources’ selection. As well as the outsourcers shall have the valuable knowledge in preparing the information database, the planning process and the appropriate technique to reduce the operational cost. The study will develop the competitive opportunity for the local Facility Management services providers to improve their companies as well as to build the confidence of the foreign corporate clients to invest in Thailand.
