Abstract

This study aimed to examine and compare the acute effects of different durations of dynamic stretching on agility in futsal players. The participants consisted of twelve male futsal athletes aged 16–18 years, selected using purposive sampling. The participants were divided into three groups of four and assigned to perform the experimental conditions using a counterbalanced crossover design. All participants completed three dynamic stretching protocols: 10 minutes (DS10), 15 minutes (DS15), and 20 minutes (DS20). Each protocol was performed once per week over a period of three weeks. Following each stretching protocol, agility performance was assessed using the SEMO test. The data were analyzed using Repeated Measures ANOVA, and pairwise comparisons were conducted using the Bonferroni post hoc test. The results revealed that the 10–minute (DS10) and 15–minute (DS15) dynamic stretching protocols significantly improved agility performance compared to the 20-minute protocol (DS20) at the .05 level of significance. In conclusion, dynamic stretching durations of 10–15 minutes are most effective for enhancing agility performance in futsal players. These findings can be applied as practical guidelines for warm-up and dynamic stretching routines prior to training and competition in futsal.
