Abstract

This research presents the design of Orchid packaging souvenir to create added value for use as an agricultural souvenir with the purpose 1) Study of the characteristics of clay orchids for retail, restrictions on small ornamental products. 2) To design and develop orchid packaging from innovative tree planting kits that can control moisture and lighting. 3) Assess satisfaction in the form of orchid type souvenir packaging created. The first phase analyzed patterns based on the research project on the design of moisture control units and lighting for the care of orchids in buildings, using internet technology of all things to create a product model. Test material constraints of functions by packing size Usage, Distribution for souvenir to decorate in building. step II develops design a 3D virtual format to assess the satisfaction of customer. The results of the test characteristics of orchids with tissue culture methods must be sold at the stage with 2-4 leaves for packing small pots for retail and buyer prefer to shop in 1 and 5 amounts.

The findings of developing characteristic packaging patterns based on the overall level of user satisfaction assessment level were very satisfied Average (=4.00) and Orchid type souvenir packaging from innovative tree planting kits that can control moisture and lighting. The modernity is very good (=4.50). The Packaging is suitable and very pleasant to be used (=4.04). Easy to use (=3.99). The material in the design is suitable (=3.93). Best for sale in store distribution (=3.87).
