DEVELOPMENT OF ADVANCED THINKING SKILLS FOR LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO WERE RECEIVED ACTIVE LEARNING MANAGEMENT AT MAE THA DISTRICT, LAMPANG PROVIENCE

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) study advanced thinking skills of lower secondary school students who were received active learning management, 2) compare advanced thinking skills of lower secondary school students, and 3) study the mental characteristics. Target groups were 154 lower secondary school students of Mae Tha district, Lampang province, came from 51 students of Ban Mae Tha school, 54 students Pa Tan Wittaya school, and 49 students of Thong Phit Witthaya school by purposive sampling. The tools were used in this research: 1) activities for developing advanced thinking skills, 2) learning management plans of active teaching activities management, 3) behavior observation pattern about advanced thinking skills and 4) questionnaires about opinions about mental characteristics of students who participated. All tools have been checked for quality tools that given consistency index was from 0.50-1.00. Result were analyzed by using statistical analysis of quantitative data using descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. The research found that
1) Advanced thinking skills of lower secondary school students who were received active learning management. The overall picture was 4.24 (0.66) at the highest level.
2) Comparing result of advanced thinking skills of lower secondary school students who were received active learning management. The overall picture was 4.52 (0.59) at the highest level.
3) Psychological characteristics of lower secondary school students who were received active learning management. The overall picture was 4.52 (0.59) at the highest level.
