DESIGN GUIDELINES FOR LINK CIRCULATION TO COMMUNITY AND EXHIBITION CENTRE

Abstract

This research is aimed 1) to study the physical features of the environment of the community for the growth of the economy. 2) to study the problems of the traffic in the building of the Exhibition Centre and the use of space inside and outside the building. 3) to propose the Design Guidelines for Link Circulation to Community and Exhibition Centre. The study samples  were selected by simple random sampling. The number of both males and females who enter the exhibition center are 200 people.  The instruments used in the study are as follows: (1) The survey which was used to observed the current condition and the facilities for the traffic and the utilities. (2) the questionnaire for the general travel behavior and the traffic behavior in the exhibition center. The data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and quantitative frequency and percentage.


The research results were as follows:


The study found that the physical response to the community's growth is in Bang Yai, Nonthaburi. because it is an area with a growing economy and a clear system of the traffic to reduce which the problem of the traffic in the Exhibition Centre. And Exhibition Centre must be designed with the analysis and the plan of an important traffic. Guidelines for design has open views of the building and share out traffic the area clearly to support the services which are appropriate for the proportion of each type of the traffic user-projects selected in order to reduce traffic congestion. It is the Design Guidelines for Link Circulation to Community and Exhibition Centre which respond to the continuous and link to the community sustainability.
