Development of Database Management Program for Recording Computer and Accessory: A Case Study in Electronic Industrial

Abstract

The data storage system widely used in the case study company are performed by recording information on paper that required a lot of space and resources. Including the error of recording caused the difficulty of data analysis and executive reporting. The current IT equipment maintenance process spent 386.05 minutes to produce a report. The proposed management information system developed by a computer program as the database management system is used to improve the IT equipment maintenance process. The information obtained from the system can be used to analyze the solution to rapidly perform the report to executive. In our experiment, the proposed system can reduce error while recording and shorten process time for a report to 61.43 minutes. Moreover, the system can be applied to the database management system in the other departments.
