Abstract

This study is to explain scientific principles for students who receive learning management through science learning activities using STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress, creativity, and satisfaction with science learning activities using STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress for grade 7 students. The research consisted of instruments; 1) Learning management plan utilizing STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress, 2) Creative thinking assessment form, 3) scientific principles explanation ability assessment form, and 4) Satisfaction assessment form. The statistics tool used for the data analysis included the mean and standard deviation. The research findings indicate that 1) the ability to explain scientific principles after participating in learning activities based on STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress has an overall score of 4.29 (0.53), which is at a very good level. 2) Creativity after participating in learning activities based on STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress has an overall score of 3.62 (0.5), which is at a good level. 3) Satisfaction after participating in learning activities based on STEM education integrated with local wisdom of herbal compress has an overall score of 4.59 (0.61), which is at a very good level.
