study of fire evacuation in Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology by fire dynamics program

Abstract

This research is a simulation of fire evacuation and fire evacuation experiments of the Suvarnabhumi Institute of Technology building.  It has 8 floors with a height of 33.17 meters with a total area of ​​20,367 square meters and 3 fire exits. This experiment uses PyroSim and Pathfinder programs to create building models and fire evacuation simulations.  The total number of people in the experiment was 181. The result of the fire evacuation time was 2:34 minutes, compared to the 2019 fire evacuation drills, with 181 participants using the time of 4:56 minutes.

Therefore, when comparing the results between the experiment and the annual fire evacuation practice are complies with Ministerial  regulations standards for the management and operation of safety, occupational health and working environment on the prevention and fire suppression B.E. 2555 (2012) requires all employees who are working at the same time to the safety Point Safely no later than 5 minutes.
