The Development of Stray Dog Management System in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to 1) analyze and design a stray dog management system in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage, 2) develop a stray dog management system in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage, and 3) study the satisfaction of users of the stray dog management system in Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The study was divided into 3 steps: the data and requirement gathering process of the stray dog management system, the analysis and design process of the stray dog management system using Laravel framework and phpMyAdmin database, and the stray dog management system satisfaction assessment process using an online assessment. The results showed that the stray dog management system was able to manage various information such as dog information, news and user contact information, as well as showing the dog's location on the Google Maps. The system helps to facilitate the administrators, related staff, and system users who would like to check various information, to surf the website with a computer, smartphone or tablet. It also facilitates for the administrators or related staff to check, manage, and keep the information up to date on a regular basis. The satisfaction assessment was divided into two aspects: the efficiency and usefulness of the system, and the design of the system. From the survey results of satisfaction assessment in various fields from a group of 20 users, it was found that the average of overall system satisfaction score was the highest level ( = 4.60, S.D. = 0.59), which intended that the system could be applied efficiently.
