Development of Attendance System for Wat Ratchasattha Dhamma School, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) Explore the context, existing problems, and needs of Wat Ratsattha Dhamma School. 2) Design and develop an electronic attendance recording system for government officials at Wat Ratsattha Dhamma School and 3) Study user satisfaction with the developed system. Data were collected using community study tools and interviews with the school director and teachers at Wat Ratsattha Dhamma School, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The findings revealed that the school still employed a manual attendance recording process, requiring personnel to sign in and out on paper documents at the administrative office. This method caused inconvenience, data inaccuracy, and inefficiency in information storage and reporting. To address these issues, the researcher developed an electronic attendance recording system aimed at reducing data entry errors and improving personnel management efficiency. The system was developed using Figma, React Framework, Node.js, DBeaver, and GPS technologies, functioning via a web application and smartphone interface. The results of the user satisfaction evaluation indicated that the overall mean score was 4.77, with a standard deviation of 0.29, corresponding to a “very good” level of satisfaction. These findings demonstrate that the developed system effectively meets user needs and can be applied to enhance personnel management efficiency in schools.
