THE MODEL OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DENGUE FEVER IN BANNA SUB-DISTRICT WACHIRABARAMI DISTRICT PHICHIT PROVINCE

Abstract

The aimed of this participatory action research was to study the model of community participation in the prevention and control of dengue fever in Banna Sub-District  Wachirabarami District Phichit Province. The population were people who live in Ban Na Sub-District and the sample were moo 4  banNongSadao, who were selected through the use of cluster random sampling. The research tools use were questionnaire, Focus Group Discussion and mosquitoes survey form. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics : frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and inferential statistics was paired sample t-test.

The research results revealed that after experimental the samples were had knowledge and prevention and control behavior of dengue fever higher than while the container index was lower than before the experiment was statistically significant at the 0.05 level, and also revealed that the community participation  increased after the experimental  at a good level and higher than before the experimental was statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
