Aims and Scope
Engineering and Technology Horizons publishes high-quality international articles that promote the exchange of research findings and knowledge among researchers, engineers, and academicians. The journal encourages contributions that present new ideas, principles, or innovations supported by solid theoretical or experimental evidence.
The journal welcomes original research articles, experimental studies, design innovations, and applied engineering solutions in which authors have directly participated. The journal's fields of engineering and technology broadly cover 4 categories:
- Mechanical and Industrial Engineering: Machine design and analysis, manufacturing processes, mechatronics, robotics, industrial systems, logistics, agricultural and food engineering, and maintenance engineering.
- Civil Engineering: Structural design and construction, transportation systems, water resources, environmental and geotechnical engineering, architecture and infrastructure management, and sustainable development.
- Electrical Engineering: Power generation and distribution, electronics, computer engineering, telecommunications, information systems, electromagnetism, and control and measurement technologies.
- Chemical Engineering: Chemical process design, materials transformation, petroleum and energy systems, biochemical and pharmaceutical production, and applications in biomedical and environmental technologies.
Type of Article
Engineering and Technology Horizons accepts two types of articles.
- Research Article: (length between 6,000 and 10,000 words) This article presents a structured investigation conducted according to academic standards. It begins with a clearly defined originality, hypothesis or research problem, establishes specific objectives, and employs a systematic methodology with data collection, analysis, and interpretation. The conclusions should address the stated objectives and contribute meaningfully to academic advancement or practical application in engineering and technology.
- Academic Article: (length between 6,000 and 10,000 words) This article provides scholarly reflection through reviews, technical commentary, or critical evaluations of established theories, methods, or developments in the field. It synthesizes existing knowledge to enhance understanding, support academic discourse, and guide future research or professional practice.
Language
Engineering and Technology Horizons (ETH) accepts manuscripts that are all written in English. The manuscript should be written in clear and concise language with proper grammar and correct spelling. Authors are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a native English speaker prior to submission.
Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to Engineering and Technology Horizons (ETH) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. At least three independent experts evaluate each article to ensure academic quality and constructive feedback.
Before peer review, Editors assess whether each submission is technically sound, scientifically valid, and suitable for consideration. Authors may suggest potential reviewers in the submission form; however, the final decision rests solely with the Editor, and authors should avoid recommending recent collaborators or colleagues from the same institution. When an Editor has a competing interest, another member of the editorial team will manage the review process.
Manuscripts with a plagiarism rate exceeding 30% (excluding references) are automatically rejected. Authors should also provide copies of relevant work upon submission.
For more details, please see <Peer Review Process>.
Editorial Policy
Independent reviewers will evaluate academic and research articles for publication. The articles must include substantial supported theories, innovative work, substantial experimental results, useful and constructive discussions, and academic articles in the fields of engineering and technology. An electronic journal is available on the website (https://ph01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/lej/). The Editors have the right to request revisions to the submitted manuscript before it is finally accepted. The institute and the editorial board do not take responsibility for the views or content expressed by the authors of individual articles. Acknowledgment is required for any copying.
Open Access and Archiving Policies
This journal promotes the global exchange of ideas and knowledge by providing open access to its research content.
Engineering and Technology Horizons' articles are available on Thailand's central electronic journal database, Thai Journal Online (ThaiJO). You can access all the published articles for free from the archives section on their website (https://ph01.tci-thaijo.org/index.php/lej/issue/archive). The authors hold the copyright of their articles, and they are permitted to self-archive their articles in PDF format.
