An Approach for Prize Ranking Analysis Using Principal Components

Abstract

The objective of this study is to provide a methodlolgy for ranking the selected senior engineering projects for carning prizes awarede annually by Faculty of Engineering at Khon Kaen University. The senior engineering projects are selected from all departments as candidates for outstanding awards in the innovation category, engineering application category. And basic engineering knowledge category. For defining a prize ranling, the method of prineipal component analysis known as a multivariate statistical technique is used to perform analysis on the average data sets of earning scores judged on the referees’ evaluations for each of the appropriate criteria.
