Abstract

This paper presents the wrist strap engagement sensing by using a photo detecting techniquewhich consists of two different wavelength LEDs as a transmitter and a photodiode as a receiver. Thetransmitter transmits red and blue light sources to the operator’s skin and the receiver receives areflected light from layers of the skin. The resulting signals from the receiver can be used todetermine the wrist strap engagement.
