Abstract

Electronics data sharing standard is popularly used in exchanging Information among organizations

in the supply chain of many industries including automotive industry. The literatures show that the information

sharing technologies in Thailand automotive are still inferior to automotive industry in the foreign countries and

even other industries Thailand. Therefore, it is necessary to study the obstacles in applying these technologies

in automotive industry in order to find the right development scheme for all companies involved. The results

from the conducted survey show that the difference in technology of the companies in each tier is the main

problem and this difference causes higher cost in sharing Information. As a result, the companies in 2nd

and3rd tiers request the government for the policy in information technology that would aid them. Thus, it is

important that the government pays more attention to this policy to help Improve the information sharing in automotive industry.
