Visionary Leadership of School Administrators Affecting the Change Management in Schools Under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Nakhon Phanom

The purposes of this research were to: 1) study and compare visionary leadership of school administrators classified by status and school size, (2) study and compare the change management in schools classified by status and school size, (3) study the relationship between visionary leadership of school administrators and the change management in schools, and (4) study the predictive power for visionary leadership of school administrators affecting the change management in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Nakhon Phanom. The samples were 223 administrators and teachers followed percentage criteria in the sample-size specification and they were selected by stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were five-rating scale questionnaires on 1) a questionnaire for visionary leadership of school administrators and 2) a questionnaire for the change management in schools. The statistics included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test (independent samples), One-way analysis of variance analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression stepwise.
The results revealed that 1) the overall visionary leadership of school administrators was at the quite high level. In comparison, the overall visionary leadership of school administrators classified by status and school size revealed non–significant difference. 2) The overall change management in schools was at the high level. In comparison, the overall change management classified by status revealed non–significant difference. The overall change management in schools classified by school size revealed the statistically significant difference at the .01 level. 3) The visionary leadership of school administrators and the change management in schools revealed quite high significant positive correlation at the .01 level. And 4) there were 3 variables of visionary leadership of school administrators that affected the change management in schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Nakhon Phanom.
