Invention and Innovation Management Strategies of Suratthani Technical College to Develop Potential to Become the College of Innovation

Abstract

The objectives of the study on invention and innovation management strategies of Surat Thani Technical College to develop potential to become the college of innovation were to: 1) study the present situation and desirable situation, 2) develop and validate the quality of the management strategies, 3) trial the management strategies, and 4) evaluate the effectiveness of the management strategies. The sample in this study consisted of 144 instructors of the academic year 2562 BE, 15 experts for the focus group, and 9 experts for quality validation. The research instruments included questionnaires, record for focus group discussion, achievement report form, and finding report form. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, SD, t-test, and content analysis.

The results as follows 1) The present situation and desirable situation on the management of invention and innovation of Surat Thani Technical College revealed high level on internal environment and desirable situation. The analysis of the external environment showed fair level while the desirable situation was at high level. 2) The invention and innovation management strategies of Surat Thani Technical College to develop potential to become the college of innovation consisted of 5 main strategies and 14 sub-strategies. The results on the quality validation of the management on invention and innovation showed that the appropriateness, accuracy, feasibility, and usefulness were overall at high level. 3) The trial of the invention and innovation management strategies of Surat Thani Technical College to develop potential to become the college of innovation on 5 strategies and 14 sub-strategies showed that the highest was on the 4^th strategy. 4) The evaluation of the invention and innovation management strategies of Surat Thani Technical College to develop potential to become the college of innovation showed that the results achieved the expected criteria in every aspect. Moreover, the instructors reported high satisfaction on the invention and innovation management strategies of Surat Thani Technical College to develop potential to become the college of innovation.
