Information Technology Model for Supply Chain Management in Construction for Higher Education Institutes: a Case Study of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Bangkok Metropolitan

Abstract

The objectives of the study on IT model for supply chain management in construction for higher education institutes were to: 1) develop IT model for supply chain management in construction for higher education institutes, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Bangkok Metropolitan and 2) evaluate the IT model for supply chain management in construction for higher education institutes, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, Bangkok Metropolitan. The 10 experts included five experts on supply chain management and five experts on IT system. They hold a doctoral degree with more than four years of working experiences. The research tool was questionnaires assessing the suitability of the developed IT model comprising six main components, i.e., suppliers, production factors, manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and customers. The data were analyzed by using arithmetic mean and standard deviation. The developed IT model was evaluated by Black-box Testing technique with the overall result at a “good” level. It can be  suggested that the developed IT model for supply chain management in construction for higher education institutes, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep Metroplitan can be effectively implemented to support sustainable information system development.
