The Development of the Online Learning Resources on “The King’s Philosophy” for Intermediate School Students

Abstract

This is research and development focused on providing the online learning resources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students with the objectives to: 1) study the content scope of “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students; 2) study the need for the online learning source on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students; 3) develop and find the efficiency of the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students; and 4) try out the online learning source on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students. The investigation was to: 4.1) compare the pre- and post-learning achievement of the students who used the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students; 4.2) study students’ satisfaction towards the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students, and; 4.3) study students’ satisfaction towards learning management of the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students. The sample group consisted of 51 intermediate school students of Ban Klongkayaeng Wittaya School, Klonglarn District, Kampaengphet Province. The quantitative data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

The findings revealed as follows. 1) The content scope of “The King’s Philosophy” was suitable for intermediate school students and congruent with the curriculum. 2) The needs for the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” of intermediate school students was at the highest level. 3) The efficiency of the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students was 81.86/82.55 higher than the set criteria at 80/80 benchmark. 4) Regarding the trial of the online learning source on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students, it was found as follows. 4.1) The post-learning achievement of students who used the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate schools tudents was significantly higher than that of the pre-learning at statistically  significant level at 0.05. 4.2) The students had the highest satisfaction towards the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students. And 4.3) the students reported the highest satisfaction towards learning management of the online learning sources on “The King’s Philosophy” for intermediate school students.
