Abstract

Iterative functional differential equations occur in many problems of physics and other sciences. This article is concerned with three equations x(n) (z) = Azj ( x[m] (z) )k, x(n) (z) = A gif.latex?\prod_{i=1}^{I} ( x[mi] (qiz) )k and a more general equation gif.latex?\prod_{i=1}^{a}( x(ni) (piz) )Ni = Azgif.latex?\prod_{i=1}^{b} ( x[mi] (qiz) )Mi .
We consider the existence of power solutions of the form x(z) = gif.latex?\lambdazgif.latex?\mu for those three equations with given conditions.
