Correlation between Knowledge and Preventive Self-care Behaviors on the Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) among Undergraduate Students at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage

This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the correlation between knowledge and preventive self-care behaviors on the Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) among undergraduate students at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage. The sample size was 375 people by randomized sampling. The data were collected using questionnaires. The Data were analyzed and processed frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson product moment correlation. The results of the study showed that the most of participants were 62.67%, students 30.67% were studying in Year 1, people 33.60% were affiliated with the Faculty of Science and Technology and numbered in Buddhism 57.07%. The study had knowledge and preventive self-care behaviors for COVID-19 found that in high level are 85.87% and 68.27%, respectively. The relationship between knowledge and preventive self-care behaviors of COVID-19 was found to have a statistically significant with low positive correlation (r = .248) at p≤0.05. This result can be used as a guideline in planning to promote knowledge for students to self-protection under the coronavirus 2019 epidemic situation.
