Abstract

This research aimed to develop and evaluate the quality of online lessons on AI image creation using the Recraft.AI program, based on constructionism theory, for Grade 12 students. It also aims to compare students' learning achievement before and after engaging with the lesson. Additionally, the study examined the appropriateness of the online lesson and the students' satisfaction with it. The lesson was developed following the addie model and presented in various multimedia formats, including text, still images, animations, videos, and narrated audio, aligned with the constructionism approach. The sample group consisted of 20 grade 12 students selected through cluster random sampling. This learning management format can increase the sample group's interest in learning, enjoyment, enthusiasm for learning, and creativity in creating images with AI. The research instruments included the online lesson, an appropriateness evaluation form, a learning achievement test, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. The findings revealed that the overall quality of the online lesson was rated at a good level (equation = 4.21, SD = 0.43). The efficiency index of the lesson was 83.00/83.00, meeting the specified criteria. Students' post-learning achievement scores (equation = 8.30) were significantly higher than their pre-learning scores (equation = 6.10) at the 0.5 statistical significance level. Furthermore, student satisfaction with the online lesson was at the highest level (equation = 4.93, SD = 0.24).
