EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION INTO THE ROLE OF HIGHER EDUCATION FOR LOCAL DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

This academic article focuses on presenting the concept of education transformation into the role of higher education for local development in accordance with Ministerial Regulations prescribing rules, procedures, and conditions on classification of higher education institutions for strategy formulation and implementation employed by Rajabhat Universities for 20-year Local Development Plan (2017-2036). The strategy contains four elements: the first is local development, the second is the process of professional teacher production and development, the third is educational quality development, and finally, it is the development of management system for producing high quality/competent graduate students as well as being a school of integrated innovation for local development leading to national security.
