PROBLEMS AND GUIDELINES TOWARDS TEACHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES OF STUDENTS IN BACHELOR OF EDUCATION IN AGRICULTURE, FACULTY OF EDUCATION, SAKON NAKHON RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The research aimed to study problems and guidelines towards teacher professional experiences of students in Bachelor of Education in Agriculture, faculty of Education, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University. The population used in this study were 35 student-teachers, 34 teacher-mentors, and 4 lecturer-supervisors. The research tool employed in data collection were questionnaire and structured interview. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research found that all problem aspects of teaching experiences in professional practice were low level: teaching preparation and teaching materials, teaching, schools in professional practice, classroom research, teacher-mentors, lecturer-supervisors, and student-teachers. The guidelines to solve the problems according to the teacher-mentors, lecturer-supervisors, and student-teachers were 1) intensive training before professional practice, 2) making agreement with student-teachers and schools of professional practice, 3) orientation for student-teachers with teacher-mentors and lecturer-supervisors, 4) follow-up student-teachers regularly, and 5) requesting advice from senior teacher-mentors and lecturer-supervisors.
