Abstract
The purposes of this study were to compare the learning achievement and attitude on science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems” of diploma level students between before and after using STAD cooperative learning techniques with seventy percent efficiency standard. The subject consisted of thirty diploma level students, electrical power major in first semester of the academic year 2017, Chachoengsao Technical College, Narmuang Sub–District, Muang District, Chachoengsao. The experiments were conducted for twelve hours. The research instruments consisted of lesson plans, learning achievement test and an attitude test on science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems”. The data were analyzed through the statistical applications of mean, standard deviation and t-test.
The result of study were:
1. The post-test learning achievement of the diploma level students in electrical power who studied science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems” after using STAD cooperative learning techniques was higher than pre-test that showed a statistical significant difference at .05 level.
2. The post-test learning achievement of the diploma level students in electrical power who studied science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems” after using STAD cooperative learning techniques was higher than efficiency standard seventy percent that showed a statistical significant difference at .05 level.
3. Attitude on science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystem” of diploma level students in electrical power who studied science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems” after using STAD cooperative learning techniques was at a higher that than before learning showed a statistical significant difference at .05 level.
4. Attitude on science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystem” of diploma level students in electrical power who studied science for developing life skill in the topic “ecosystems” after using STAD cooperative learning techniques was at a higher than efficiency standard seventy percent that showed a statistical significant difference at .05 level.
