THE STRUCTURAL RELATIONSHIP OF FACTORS AFFECTING EFFECTIVENESS OF SCHOOLS UNDER THE SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the effectiveness level of the schools. 2) to study the factors that affect the effectiveness of the schools, and 3) to study the direct indirect and influences of factors affecting effectiveness of schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office 2. The samples consisted of 482 administrators and teachers, drawn by the Multi-Stage Random Sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The data was analysed by mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient and Path Analysis.
The research results were as follows:
- The effectiveness level of the schools is height.
- There two factors; school environment and learning process which had direct influence significantly at .01. However, Another factor, academic leadership had direct influence insignificantly.
- The results revealed that effect size of influence differed as follows. The factors of learning process, school environment, and academic leadership had direct 20 , .17 and .02 respectively. The factors of teacher, academic leadership and strategic management had indirect influence with the influence size at .11 , .07 and .03 respectively. In addition the factors of learning process, school environment ,teacher, academic leadership and strategic management had total influence with the influence size at .20 , .17, .11 , .09 and .03 respectively. And the model accounted 23 % of the variance in the effectiveness of school.
