อิทธิพลของการใช้เศษเหล็กออกไซด์แทนที่ทรายในจีโอโพลิเมอร์มอร์ต้าร์จากเถ้าลอยต่อสมบัติทางกายภาพเชิงกล และพฤติกรรมหลังสัมผัสอุณหภูมิสูง

บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาการใช้เศษเหล็กออกไซด์ (Mill Scale Waste; MS) แทนที่ทรายแม่นํ้า (River Sand; RS) ในจีโอโพลิเมอร์มอร์ต้าร์จากเถ้าลอย โดยศึกษาการแทนที่ร้อยละ 0 5 10 15 และ 20 โดยปริมาตร ร่วมกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงอัตราส่วนของสารละลายด่างต่อเถ้าลอยที่ 0.55 0.60 และ 0.65 เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถในการทำงานได้ กำลังรับแรงอัด ค่าความหนาแน่น ร้อยละความพรุนและการดูดซึมนํ้า และพฤติกรรมหลังสัมผัสอุณหภูมิสูงที่ 400 700 และ 1,000 oC ผลการทดสอบพบว่า เมื่อการแทนที่ด้วย MS เพิ่มขึ้น ส่งผลให้ค่าการไหลแผ่ลดลง กำลังรับแรงอัดที่การแทนที่ในช่วงร้อยละ 5 ถึง 15 พบว่ามีค่ามากกว่าการใช้ RS เพียงอย่างเดียว โดยเพิ่มขึ้นตั้งแต่ร้อยละ 1.1 ถึง 19.8 นอกจากนี้ยังพบว่าความหนาแน่นเพิ่มขึ้นตามปริมาตร MS ที่เพิ่มขึ้น การเพิ่มปริมาตร MS ในส่วนผสมมีค่าการดูดซึมนํ้าลดลงเล็กน้อยแม้ความพรุนจะเพิ่มขึ้นก็ตาม จีโอโพลิเมอร์มอร์ต้าร์หลังสัมผัสอุณหภูมิสูงมีกำลังรับแรงอัดลดลงทุกช่วงอุณหภูมิ แต่การแทนที่ด้วย MS แสดงแนวโน้มการสูญเสียนํ้าหนักที่ลดลงและร้อยละกำลังรับแรงอัดคงเหลือเพิ่มขึ้น โดยเฉพาะที่อุณหภูมิ 1,000 oC การใช้ RS ร้อยละ 20 มีค่ากำลังรับแรงอัดคงเหลือสูงสุดที่ร้อยละ 90 เมื่อเทียบกับก่อนได้รับความร้อน จากผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่า MS สามารถใช้เป็นมวลรวมทางเลือกที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการพัฒนากำลังและเพิ่มความสามารถในการทนทานต่ออุณหภูมิสูงได้ นอกจากนี้ยังส่งเสริมการหมุนเวียนวัสดุเหลือทิ้งในอุตสาหกรรมกลับมาใช้ประโยชน์ได้อีกทางหนึ่ง
