บทความนี้เกี่ยวข้องกับการหาแนวทางเพื่อปรับปรุงกายภาพของเมืองพิมายเพื่อส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยว
โดยการศึกษาข้อมูลด้านสภาพแวดล้อมและลักษณะทางกายภาพของพื้นที่เมืองพิมายที่ส่งผลกระทบโดยตรง
กับกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวและวิเคราะห์ปัญหาทางกายภาพที่เกิดขึ้นกับเมืองพิมาย เนื่องด้วยลักษณะ
ทางกายภาพของเมืองพิมายที่มีความเกี่ยวเนื่องกับแหล่งที่ตั้งโบรานสถานอย่างชัดเจน เมื่อมีการพิจารณา
แนวทางในการพัฒนาร่วมกับแนวคิดด้านจินตภาพเมือง ได้ผลการวิเคราะห์ว่า ควรมีการปรับปรุงและเพิ่มเติม
สภาพแวดล้อมทางกายภาพในด้านต่าง ๆ เช่น การปรับปรุงภูมิทัศน์ของถนน การกำหนดศูนย์รวมกิจกรรม
ด้านการท่องเที่ยว การส่งเสริมให้มีการจัดกิจกรรมในช่วงเทศกาลต่าง ๆ ซึ่งจะส่งผลต่อจินตภาพของเมือง
และเกิดความประทับใจแก่นักท่องเที่ยวที่มาเยือนเมืองพิมาย

Abstract

This article is concerned with finding ways to improve physical Phimai to promote
tourism by studying the environmental and physical characteristics of the Phimai area
that affect a direct impact on tourism activities and analyzing physical problems in
Phimai. As the physical nature of the Phimai is clearly related to the archaeological
sources, methods and the concept involving with the image of the city were analyzed.
As a result, physical environment aspects including landscape of the road, center of
tourism activity, promoting events during the festival, touring zone, and the iconic
landscape should be improved. These will result in the image of the city and the
impression of visitors.
