Development of Internship and Co-operative Education Management System of School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao

Abstract

This research focuses on developing a management system for internships and Co-operative Education for the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao. in the form of a web application. It is a Research and Development (R&D) study in which the researcher applied the principles of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to the research process. The development employed ASP.NET technology combined with Visual Studio 2019 and the Microsoft SQL Server 2022 database system. The system was tested using the black box testing method. The system's functionalities are divided into six parts as follows: (1) General functionalities : The main page of the system and the login page, (2) Administrator functionalities : User data management and user permission management, (3) Student functionalities, (4) Employer functionalities, (5) School of Business and Communication Arts personnel functionalities : Including academic advisors, program chairs, and the Center for Professional Experience and Co-operative Education, (6) Reporting functionalities. The system's efficiency was evaluated by experts, and the research results can be summarized into two parts: (1) System development results : The system meets the requirements of the Center for Professional Experience and Co-operative Education, (2) System efficiency evaluation results: The system is highly suitable (= 4.72, S.D =0.25). Considering the average scores in order, the highest suitability was in the system's data security (= 4.95, S.D =0.11), followed by the system's functional performance (= 4.78, S.D =0.25), user requirements satisfaction (= 4.66, S.D =0.14), and ease of use (= 4.50, S.D =0.50)
