Web-based Geographic Information System for Disability Data Management of Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Phayao Province

Abstract

The objectives of the study are 1) to survey and collect disability data and 2) to develop web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) for disability data storage and management of Mae Ka Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang District, Phayao Province. The population in this study are 312 persons with disabilities living in the study area. Data related to the disabilities including name, address and their position, disability type, people with disabled (PWD) card id and bank account number were collected using questionnaire and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver. Javascript Object Notation (JSON) is the main data format to used for system development. A web user interface allow the user to interact with data content on a remote server through a Web browser, Google Maps API is used to display map and attribute data through Web Interface. The systems developed enables the system administrator to constantly improve database using phpMyAdmin and MySQL. The satisfaction of users for the system developed was evaluated with good level.
