Abstract
Tests were carried out to determine tensile and compressive strengths of three types of sand-resin composites namely sand-epoxy, sand-polyvinyl acetate and sand-urea-formalde-hyde resin. The ratios of resin to sand used were between 3-20% by weight and it was found that among these three composites, at least two of them had the properties worthwhile of further investigation and development for uses as construction materials.
