Abstract
The influence of initial temperature upon setting and strength of Portland Cement containing
accelerators were studied. The accelerators were the salts of calcium. These inorganic salts, viz
calcium chloride, calcium carbonate and calcium sulphate and two organic salts, viz. calcium
formate and calcium acetate were used. Normal consistency and setting time of cement paste
and compressive strength of 50 mm. mortar cube were tested. The temperatures for moong and
initial curing were 15°, 25 ° and 35 °c.
