Flow in Circular Tube with Helical Coils Inserted

Abstract
The apparatus was constructed to investigate friction factor (f) for flow in circular tube with helical cils spring inserted for 5,000 ≤ Re≤25,000. The test tubes were constructed by inserting six electrical wires into circular plain tubes. The results showed that friction factor (f) increased ad Reynolds Number (RE) and the ratio of pitch and inside diameter (p/d) decreased.
