Study of Four-Wave Mixing Effect in DWDM Transmission System with Channel Space 50 GHz
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper discusses the study of four-wave mixing effect in DWDM transmission system foroptical network. The scheme requires an increased bandwidth with increased number of channels byreduced channel space equals 50 GHz. These requirements induce inter-channel interference causedby four-wave mixing due to the fibers nonlinear. Numerical results that forwarding traffic on DWDMtransmission system are presented in term of output power of four-wave mixing and probability oferror. Reductions of intra-channel four-wave mixing interference on DWDM transmission system byusing channels grouping separation technique are also presented. These results show the performanceimprovement such as low bit error probability, increasing input light power and distance betweenoptical amplifiers.
