Transition curve from Plate-Like to Beam-Like Behavior of Free-Free Beams and Plates

Abstract

This paper deals about Transition curve from Plate-Like to Beam-Like Behavior of Free-FreeBeams and Plates. The uniform cross section area of free-free beams and plates were used in thiswork. The finite element program (ANSYS) was used to analyze the free vibration of free-free beamsand plates to set the natural frequencies and mode shapes. The transition curve from plate-like tobeam-like behavior was obtained and was presented in the polynomial 2nd order equation.
