The Development of Self-learning Module for External Classroom on the Topic of “Signboard Design in the Temple”: A Case Study of Matchantikaram Temple, Bangkok

Abstract

This research integrated both quality and quantity aims at finding the efficiency of self-learning module for external classroom on the topic of “signboard Design in the temple”: a case study of Matchantikaram Temple, Bangkok. Moreover, the research objectives were on the investigation of learning progress and satisfaction of the students after learning with the developed self-learning module. The researcher developed the self-learning module for external classroom on the topic of “signboard Design in the temple” and collected data from 85 students enrolling in the Architecture and Community Conservation Course in semester 2/2019. The self-learning module consists of course content, achievement test, and multimedia. The students did the pre-test, achievement test, and posttest together with the satisfaction questionnaires after completing the course.

The data were analyzed with the results of the efficiency at 82.22/81.35 higher than the set criteria at 80/80. The students gained higher posttest scores than the pre-test scores at the statistically significant level of 0.01. Moreover, the students reported high satisfaction on the developed self-learning module.
